Aboso Acid Attack Suspects Remanded In Tarkwa Court

Police have remanded two suspects in a tragic Aboso acid attack case. A Tarkwa District Magistrate Court made the order. His Honor Mr. Charles Owusu presided over the case. Police are, therefore, searching for a third suspect. This individual is known as “Black.” He remains at large. The police, consequently, have urged the public to help them with the arrest. They want anyone with information to contact the Aboso Police. They can also contact the nearest police station.
Preliminary police investigations have disclosed key details. The original attack happened in August 2024. It took place at Aboso Mandeline Junction. The first accused confronted the victim. He pushed him from behind. This action led to a confrontation. The second accused, Victor Vorgah, then appeared. The 19-year-old carried a bottle. The bottle contained a substance suspected to be acid. He poured the liquid directly on the victim’s face. The attack left the victim with serious injuries.
Police successfully arrested both accused on August 9, 2025. They found the men in their hideouts. They were then arraigned before the Tarkwa District Magistrate Court on August 14, 2025. The suspects face charges. These charges include a,betment of Crime and Causing Unlawful Harm. These crimes are, furthermore, contrary to sections of the Criminal Offences Act 1960. The court has ordered both accused to reappear at a later date. Meanwhile, police efforts continue. They want to apprehend the one other suspect, “Black.” Authorities describe him as a Black male.
The Western Central Regional Police Command wants public assistance. As a result, they urged anyone with credible information to help with the arrest.
