Adansi Akrofuom helicopter crash victims will receive Islamic burials in Accra on Sunday, August 10.

The funeral committee confirmed arrangements for Dr Ibrahim Mohammed Murtala and Alhaji Muniru Limuna Mohammed.

Both men, devout Muslims, died in the August 6 military helicopter crash in the Ashanti Region.

This Sunday, August 10, 2025, we will lay Dr. Murtala Mohammed and Alhaji Muniru Limuna Mohammed to rest at the Military Cemetery in Accra, in line with Islamic customs.

National leaders and family members will gather to honour the fallen statesmen.

The President, Vice President, Speaker of Parliament, NDC National Chairman, Yogbun Wura, Ndan Ya Naa, and the National Chief Imam will attend.

Organisers will hold Jannaza prayers at 2:00 pm at the State House Forecourt in Accra.

They will conduct burials at 2:30 pm at the Military Cemetery, also in Accra.

The public may join to pay final respects to the two leaders.

Chief of Staff Julius Debrah confirmed the crash killed eight people, including senior government officials and military personnel.

The tragedy claimed Defence Minister Dr Edward Omane Boamah, former Ashanti Regional Minister Dr Samuel Sarpong, and former MP Samuel Aboagye.

Three Ghana Armed Forces members also died: Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Mane-Twum Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah.

The incident left a deep void in both government and the armed forces.

Ghanaians now prepare to farewell two leaders who served the nation with dedication.
