Rescued Nigerian Boy, Hope, Graduates Primary School
The Nigerian boy Hope graduates from primary school with one of the highest grades in his class. This is a monumental achievement for the boy who, eight years ago, was branded a witch. He was then left to d,ie in Akwa Ibom. Starving, frail, and alone, his life changed forever. Danish aid worker Anja Ringgren Lovén and her team brought him to Land of Hope. Today, his name, Hope, says it all. He will, in fact, begin secondary school this September. This is a milestone many never thought was possible.
Sharing her joy, Anja wrote a message. “Hope survived,” she began. She added that he starts secondary school next month. “His story is world famous,” she stated. She, furthermore, feels very grateful for his progress. “Every day I look at him,” she said. She praised his many talents. She says he is very intelligent. In addition, he is a talented artist and an excellent dancer. On top of that, he has a great sense of humor. He is a very warm and caring person, too. The Nigerian boy Hope graduates and inspires others.
The story is a reminder that love and second chances can turn tragedy into triumph. Anja added that Hope’s story inspires the world. However, thousands of other children may never be as fortunate. They are still accused of witchcraft. “It’s an uphill battle,” she said. She, in addition, urges continued support. “With your support, we will continue to save lives,” she concluded. The Land of Hope organization continues its efforts. They are fighting the injustice of child witchcraft accusations.
