The Member of Parliament for Ofoase/Ayirebi, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has publicly endorsed former President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. He believes Dr. Bawumia can lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to victory in the 2028 general election. Speaking to Citi News on Thursday, August 28, Mr. Oppong Nkrumah reaffirmed his support. He spoke just ahead of Dr. Bawumia’s filing of nomination forms. This officially starts the NPP flagbearership race. In addition, Mr. Oppong Nkrumah stressed that Dr. Bawumia remains the NPP’s strongest option. He has already been widely marketed during the 2024 general election.
