Why Eco-friendly Real Estate Is Good for Ghana

The call for eco-friendly real estate is growing louder. For instance, Daniel Deku, a Marketing Officer at Lakeside Estate Ltd, highlighted its importance. He spoke at the Daily Graphic/GREDA Home Fair in Accra. He said that providing recreational facilities and green spaces helps. Indeed, these elements, like community gardens, improve air quality. They also support biodiversity. Lakeside Estate has already adopted this approach. In fact, the company developed its own recreational Marina Park. Consequently, this park helps reduce the community’s total carbon footprint.

Mr. Deku detailed the amenities. Specifically, he noted that the Lakeside Marina Park offers many activities. These include jet skiing, swimming, and mini-golf. Both residents and the public can enjoy these facilities. Furthermore, the fair itself was a joint effort. The Graphic Communications Group Ltd (GCGL) and the Ghana Real Estate Developers Association (GREDA) organized it. Meanwhile, MTN also powered the event. The theme focused on “Technology-enabled and eco-friendly housing.”

The three-day fair proved quite popular. Developers, financial institutions, and tech firms attended. As a result, they showcased their products and services. Many prospective clients filled the venue. On the other hand, Mr. Deku said the fair had been very impressive. He therefore felt optimistic about future deals. He had many positive interactions with potential buyers.

Regarding Lakeside’s unique value, Mr. Deku emphasized space. He explained that this feature separates the company from its competitors. “We not only provide well-designed homes,” he said. He added, “but also ensure ample space around each property.” Therefore, this unique feature gives residents freedom. “This allows residents the freedom to expand as their needs change,” he explained. In addition, Lakeside Estate provides recreational amenities. The company believes these spaces help reduce carbon emissions.

Finally, Mr. Deku shared an exciting announcement. His outfit is now developing Lakeside Community 9. The new project is also called Lakeside Hills. This community will feature a sports complex. It will also offer parks and a picturesque lake. Overall, Lakeside Estate continues to lead with its focus on eco-friendly real estate. This demonstrates a commitment to sustainable development for the future.
