Tom Holland suffers injury on the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, resulting in a temporary halt in filming. The actor sustained a mild concussion after a stunt went wrong. On Friday, emergency crews transported Holland to a hospital. A source close to the production told Deadline that doctors treated and released him, so he did not require admission. Furthermore, the source said Holland would take a break “out of precaution.” However, he is expected back on set in a few days.
His representatives did not respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment. However, despite the accident, Holland appeared publicly just a few days later. In fact, he attended a charity event over the weekend with co-star and fiancée Zendaya. Nevertheless, he reportedly left early because he was not feeling well. Holland’s father, Dominic, also attended the event. The actor’s quick return to public life showed fans that the Tom Holland suffers injury news was not as serious as it first seemed.
On-set injuries for major stars are not uncommon. For example, Charlize Theron recently revealed an injury. The actress fractured her toe while filming Apex. She performed some of her own stunts without a harness. Therefore, she called it a “miracle” that she was alive. Similarly, Tom Cruise nearly broke his back during a high-flying stunt for Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. Cruise, who performs most of his own stunts, also separated the joints in his fingers. The sheer force from hanging onto a seatbelt caused the damage. Therefore, both actors show the intense physical toll that these roles can exact on performers.
