Centralized Security Recruitment: Multiple Regional Centers and 1,000-Person Limit
Centralized security recruitment for four major agencies begins next week. Interior Minister Mohammed Mubarak-Muntaka made the important announcement Friday, November 14, 2025. The application portal officially opens on Monday, November 17, 2025. Specifically, it accepts applications for the Police, Prisons, Fire, and Immigration Services. This recruitment drive aims to strengthen the nation’s public safety structure. Officials drew crucial lessons from the tragic El-Wak stampede. The government established multiple screening centers in every region. In addition, Accra will feature between ten to fifteen centers alone. This extensive network immediately addresses past concerns about congestion. No single screening center will accommodate over 1,000 people at one time. Moreover, centers will process 500 persons in the morning and 500 in the afternoon. This strict capacity limit improves safety management drastically. Consequently, any applicant showing up outside their scheduled time will face instant disqualification. This firm rule effectively manages site attendance.
The entire screening exercise will run in regulated, staggered turns. This strategy completely avoids the chaos of previous events. Thus, the Police Service will finish its entire screening first.
