Angel Asiamah -“If I Stayed Celibate Until 25, I Can Wait 15 Years for My Wife”

Angel Asiamah, husband of controversial televangelist Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, has spoken out against the growing public curiosity surrounding his private life. This comes following his wife’s conviction and prison sentence.

After Nana Agradaa was handed a 15-year jail term with hard labor for defrauding members of her church, many began questioning how her husband would handle such a long separation. The particular concern was about remaining celibate.

Addressing the issue during a recent church sermon, Angel Asiamah offered a heartfelt and confident response:

“They keep asking, ‘Can you stay alone after all this?’ And I respond, ‘Why not?’”

He went on to explain that he lived a celibate life until the age of 25. He never slept with a woman throughout his youth.

“Maybe they’ve forgotten that from the time I was born until 25, I had never been with a woman. I lived a celibate life all those years. So if I could do it then, I can definitely do it now, even if my wife must serve the full 15 years.”

His words drew a wave of reactions online, with many admiring his loyalty and strength of conviction.

Background: Why Nana Agradaa Was Jailed

Patricia Asiedua, aka Nana Agradaa, was sentenced to 15 years in prison by the Accra Circuit Court. She was found guilty of defrauding members of her church through false promises of money multiplication during a service at her Heaven Way Church.

The incident, which was widely reported, involved churchgoers giving large sums of money with the expectation of supernatural returns. This promise was never fulfilled. The court cited her lack of remorse, prior offenses, and charlatanic advertisements in delivering its judgment.
