Xandy Kamel in tears as her movie gets shown without permission
Ghanaian actress and media personality Xandy Kamel has been left devastated after discovering that Fast TV, a local television station, had broadcast her movie without her permission.

According to Xandy, she had uploaded the film to her personal YouTube channel just two days prior, only to find out it was already airing on television.
She claims to have invested heavily in the project, both financially and emotionally.
“I feel betrayed and heartbroken,” Xandy shared in an emotional video, fighting back tears. “This was my work, my investment, my future. And someone just took it without asking.”
The unauthorized airing has sparked a wave of concern among creatives about the piracy of local content and the protection of intellectual property in Ghana’s film and television space.
Xandy has since made a passionate appeal to the National Film Authority (NFA), urging the body to step in and investigate the matter.
She called for stricter enforcement of copyright laws to protect filmmakers like herself.
This incident has also reignited conversations around digital content protection, licensing, and the responsibilities of local broadcasters.
