37 Military Hospital closes emergency unit for maintenance
The 37 Military Hospital in Accra has closed its Trauma and Surgical Emergency Unit for fumigation and urgent maintenance. The 10-day shutdown runs from Monday, August 4 to Wednesday, August 13, 2025.
According to the Ghana Armed Forces, this is a routine hygiene and safety measure at the country’s leading military hospital. The statement came from the Department of Public Relations, which confirmed that the hospital is conducting a full facility refresh.
During this period, Simango Ward will handle all trauma and surgical emergencies. Hospital management has redirected staff and resources to ensure a smooth transition and uninterrupted care.
