Shatta Wale’s Lamborghini Urus seized by EOCO
On August 5, 2025, officials from the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) entered Shatta Wale’s residence in Trassaco Valley and seized his 2019 Lamborghini Urus. The operation, which took place at 6:31 PM GMT, followed a formal request from the FBI and U.S. Department of Justice regarding an international fraud case.
The vehicle has been linked to Nana Kwabena Amuah, a Ghanaian-American currently serving an 86-month sentence in the United States. He was convicted earlier this year for multiple counts of wire fraud and money laundering totaling over $4.7 million. The Lamborghini is listed among the assets authorities are recovering to repay victims.

EOCO’s Surveillance and Asset Recovery Unit carried out the operation smoothly. Shatta Wale reportedly handed over the car voluntarily and asked officers to keep the event discreet to avoid damaging his public image. EOCO clarified that officers carried weapons as a safety measure, which is standard for such operations.
In a press release, EOCO confirmed that it plans to return the vehicle to U.S. authorities under a Mutual Legal Assistance agreement. The agency also flagged Shatta Wale and a former senior officer of Ghana’s National Signals Bureau as persons of interest in the broader investigation.
This case marks another high-profile step in Ghana’s effort to crack down on international financial crimes. Over 200 stolen vehicles have been recovered by EOCO in 2025 alone. The news has sparked mixed reactions online—some fans stand by Shatta Wale, while others call for full transparency.
As the investigation unfolds, EOCO says it may summon the artist for further questioning.
This case adds to Ghana’s push to recover stolen assets. Over 200 vehicles have been seized this year alone. Fans are reacting sharply online—some defending the artist, others calling for full transparency.
