Stan Dogbe Slams Vincent Assafuah Over Private Jet Claims

Stan Dogbe slammed Old Tafo MP Vincent Ekow Assafuah for alleging Akufo-Addo used a private jet, proving the president was present at a public mass.

Deputy Chief of Staff Stan Dogbe clashed with Old Tafo MP Vincent Ekow Assafuah over claims about President Nana Akufo-Addo’s alleged use of a private jet.

Mr. Assafuah alleged on social media that a jet, identified as M-BAEP, left Accra at 7 a.m. on Sunday, August 17, supposedly linked to the president. He argued that the cost of such a trip was excessive, presenting his calculations.

He claimed that renting the jet cost $15,000 per hour. According to him, a seven-hour flight would total $105,000. A further 12-hour trip to Japan, he said, could cost $180,000. He added that another seven hours to Singapore could mean $105,000, while a 20-hour return trip to Germany and back would reach $300,000.

Stan Dogbe dismissed the claims as false and embarrassing. He revealed that President Akufo-Addo attended a thanksgiving mass for Dr. Edward Omane Boamah at Christ the King Parish in Accra between 10:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. that same Sunday.

“This one here will also demand to be called Honourable! Even if you are not street smart, it doesn’t take that much brain work to avoid embarrassing yourself,” Dogbe wrote.

He questioned how the president could have boarded a jet at 7 a.m. and still appeared at the mass in Accra by 10:30 a.m. He further criticized the MP’s political relevance, urging him to read more and stop disgracing lawmakers.

Dogbe concluded with a blunt jab: “Vincent Ekow Assafuah, invest in reading and learn how to be politically relevant. Stop disgracing MPs.”
